Rentals Terms & Conditions

By renting with Mallie’s Closet you are entering into a legal agreement and bound by these terms and conditions. We recommend you review these before renting. We reserve the right to change the terms of this agreement in the future and any changes will apply.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / CREDITS

While we do understand things can happen and you no longer need the rental the deposit placed is non-refundable. If you have paid in full only half will be refunded or can be used as rental credit. 

If your pageant is cancelled or moved dates, deposit cannot be transferred to the new date as your rental was held for that date.

Want to change the outfit you picked? A new deposit will be needed. Your original deposit will be lost. Deposits are not transferable. Please make sure you ask your mom, husband, sister, coach, etc before booking. 

We mail out every Monday via UPS, we ask renters to do the same. If you do have a preference or need a guaranteed delivery date please include in the notes and extra shipping fees will be applied. We will NOT refund or credit if your rental doesn’t arrive on time. As we cannot control the delivery system. We ship on Mondays and are told delivery is always before Friday. If mail carriers have delays it is out of our hands.

No refunds will be given if the outfit doesn’t fit your child. You are responsible for asking for measurements.

Again these are rentals, some are brand new from the designer, and some are bought used but in good condition. Some rentals may have loose snaps, buttons, small stains, or loose stones. They are still wearable.

We advise you to take videos when receiving the item.

 

BEFORE BOOKING:  

Please ask for measurements and compare them to your child if the outfit does not fit we are not responsible, and no refund will be given.

Once you reserve an outfit the outfit is held for you, if you decide you no longer need no refunds will be given as this took a spot for someone else.

Please understand while we do get a lot of NEW outfits we also buy in good or fair condition, we try our best to ensure each rental is wearable. 

These are RENTALS. Some will not be in perfect/brand-new condition. There may be tan marks inside the bodice, missing stones, loose snaps, small tears/loose threads, etc. These are to be expected but nothing that would be noticeable from the stage. (IF the corset string is not sent, any ribbon will work.) Please notify us of any major damages.

We do advise taking a video when receiving your rental and a video packing up your rental, this helps ensure you from responsibility for any missing accessories or damages.

RENTAL USAGE:

Rentals are shipped to you the Monday before your pageant weekend 2-3 days via UPS. 

Rentals are from FRIDAY- SUNDAY with shipping back on Monday.
UPS may deliver before Friday and in that case, your usage starts that day.

If you need rental(s) ANY DAY before Friday, it is YOUR responsibility to pay the overnight fee to guarantee it's delivered by the date needed.

DO NOT SMOKE near our rentals- A $25 cleaning fee will be charged should the rental return with a smoke smell.

DO NOT eat or drink in any rental(s) without a cover on your child.

DO NOT attempt to clean or dry clean any rental(s).

DO NOT alter, embellish, or use hot glue on any rental(s).


MAILING YOUR RENTAL:

We ship through UPS with a tracking number we will provide you.
All rentals must be shipped back in their original box/packaging. If the box is smashed during shipping, please get a new box of equal size.

DO NOT cram rentals in a small package to save $$.
Shipping MUST be mailed the Monday after your pageant to the address I provide you with via UPS.

Can’t or didn’t ship out on Monday? Overnight shipping WILL BE REQUIRED AT YOUR EXPENSE. It is NOT fair to the next renter. Everyone wants to receive their rentals on time, so please be considerate.

We do look rentals over before shipping; however, if we missed seeing something, please let us know.

 

RETURNING YOUR RENTAL:

You are expected to return the rental the MONDAY after your paid weekend.
Rentals must be shipped back USPS 2-3 days priority mail or UPS Ground.
*You must provide tracking information and purchase shipping insurance.

If Monday is a holiday and ALL shipping services are closed, shipping will have to be on Tuesday, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you mail on Tuesday, you MUST ensure that the package is expected to make it by Friday.

If it is not expected by Friday it will have to be mailed express/overnight mail.

If you are unable to ship back, for any reason, you will be responsible for another week’s rent. Fees will accumulate until the rental is returned.

If you don't ship on time for whatever reason and the next renter doesn't get their rental on time, you will be responsible for refunding the renter the fees they are out.

You are responsible for putting enough insurance on the package to cover damages or losses that may occur during shipping. To add insurance let the UPS employee know the package is worth $X and they will add it to the package.

You MUST keep your shipping receipt until we confirm we have the package. A receipt is needed if we have to file a claim for loss or damage.

FAILURE TO RETURN RENTAL PROPERTY:

Failure to return rental property will result in legal action being taken against you.

Failure to return property on time will result in not being rented to in the future.

Failure to return property will result in adding your name and information to the Buyer Beware Boards.
 

 
Irreversible or irreparable damage to any outfit should cost the borrower the total value of the outfit.
The outfit must be returned on the due date.
Missing part (s), tear on garment piece, and broken zipper must also be charged with a penalty and will consider the costume partially damaged.

PLEASE TAKE A VIDEO ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR RENTAL AND PACKAGING IT UP. This helps hold accountable any renter that has damaged or sent with stains, missing accessories, garment items etc.

Shipping needs to be done the Monday following the pageant. If Monday is a holiday and the post office is closed, it will need to be shipped UPS or Fed-Ex. If all shipping options are closed it has to be shipped Tuesday with delivery by Friday AT THE LATEST! *If tracking is sent and it says expected by Saturday,  YOU will be responsible for paying the next renters fee/s if it does not make it to them by Friday*

Once at least 1/2 of the rental fee is sent we will put you on the calendar. If you need to cancel for any reason and are paid in full, you will get 1/2 back or can use 1/2 for rental credit. You should be paid in full the week before you need the rental.-DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE

Rentals will be inspected upon arrival If owner, Ana or Tiffany, determine there is significant damage done to the rental, the person who signed this contract and whose license we have on file will be responsible for any fees occurred to fix/replace the rental. This includes but not limited to dark tanning stains, smells of smoke, rips/tears, stains from food/drinks.

We ARE NOT at fault if the rental doesn't fit or look good on your child. No refunds will be given. You are responsible for checking measurements to see if the rental will be a good fit or not. Measurements are posted below each rental in the comments. If any are missed it is your responsibility as the renter to request any additional measurements you may need. If you can't find them, Ana would be happy to send them to you.

When shipping back, rentals must be in an undamaged box of adequate size. If reusing a box, make sure ALL labels are covered up. These boxes go through machines and if there is more than 1 label on the box, it could take days/weeks for the machine to read the correct label. Make sure you're putting the rental in a sealed trash bag before putting it in the box.

You HAVE to keep the shipping receipt until you know the package was delivered AND picked up. (Packages go to our P.O. Box) If a claim ever needs to be made for a lost or damaged package, we will need to be able to provide the receipt.

There should be no eating, drinking or smoking in/and or around our rentals. A cape must be worn at all times while not on stage.

It is your responsibility to insure the package for the value of its contents. Failure to do so will result in you having to pay the FULL replacement fee of the rental if something was to happen to it during shipping. If the package is lost or damaged during shipping, the postal service will pay the insurance amount listed on the receipt. KEEP THE RECEIPT!! The insurance that is paid will be used to pay for the replacement of the lost or damaged rental.

Do not attempt to clean/dry clean rentals. Altering them in any way, other than a small safety pin, is prohibited. DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE OR HOT GLUE!!  If there is an issue with the rental message Ana Or Tiffany and we will give you further instructions.
